Vātsalya – A Home of Blessings and Presence
I chose to name my home Vātsalya, the Sanskrit word for parental love – a love that protects, nurtures, and gives without expectation. This home is more than a space; it is a reflection of those blessings and a way of feeling the quiet presence of those who shaped me.
My parents always wished for me to find my independence, and Vātsalya carries that wish forward – independence rooted in affection, not distance. Every corner of this home holds gratitude, compassion, and the spirit of care they instilled in me.
To me, Vātsalya is both a sanctuary and a reminder that the foundation of all strength begins with love that feels like home.

An alumnus of Harvard Business School and Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, Mr. Bikram Dasgupta is among the early pioneers of the Indian Information Technology Industry and has witnessed the emergence of the Indian IT Industry from garage start-ups to billion dollar behemoths.
The emergence of the Indian Information Technology industry saw the birth of a generation of first time entrepreneurs – entrepreneurs with no family history of business enterprise. This generation was marked by their ambition and fierce determination to change the order of things. They innovated, they disrupted, and they brought in new rules into the game. They lived by their instincts.
Mr. Dasgupta’s entrepreneurial journey is a story of this change. A story defined by its quintessential highs and lows, of dreams, of daring to think beyond the ordinary and an insatiable appetite for risk taking.
A globally traveled personality, Mr. Dasgupta has led & participated in many international delegations over the years, across industry bodies. Ranjana Dasgupta, Managing Trustee, Bikram Dasgupta Foundation, brings to the Board her sharp insights on the people front. An avid contributor to the growth story of Globsyn she has been associated as a Director with several companies, since the last 20 years, and has played a vital role in their management.

Mr. Romit Dasgupta is a serial entrepreneur who at the age of 23 (2002), did his first tech start-up in New York and built it into a multi-million-dollar enterprise with Fortune 500 clients. In 2007, he joined his family business, Globsyn Group having business interests in Education, Technology, Vocational Training and Real Estate. He brings a global outlook, strategic vision and a profound passion for institution building to all his ventures. In his recent role as the MD of Globsyn’s technology business (Artificial Intelligence & Fintech), he was instrumental in scaling its operations from 50 to over 2000 people in India & abroad. He is an Angel Investor & plays an active role in mentoring start-ups. Romit moved to UAE in 2019, to expand his business interest in the area of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Fintech.
Romit is an authority in the area of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning and has been a speaker at various seminars and forums including TiE, Indo-American Chamber of Commerce, the House of Commons (UK) and GITEX (UAE). His team building and people skills have seen him taking up leadership positions in several youth organisations including CII-Young Indians, the Youth wing of Confederation of Indian Industries, which he led as its Chairman (Kolkata, India).

Pragmatic, driven, energetic, and articulate, Janine Pakiry is an investment banker with decades of experience in finance, across continents. She is one of those leaders who leads by examples, and thus inspires and motivates people around her. She is highly agile, proactive, and capable of giving an altogether different perspective and direction to any kind of initiative that she undertakes. An impressive problem solver, Janine is always able to address complex issues with strategy and inclusive solutions, thus managing to foster positive discussions and bring the best out of other co-workers.
Honest, dependable, organized, hard-working, positive are just some of the adjectives that barely manage to capture Janine’s persona because underlying that professional aura lies a heart, which dreams of building a legacy that will give back to society. To realize this dream, Janine and her husband, Rahul, has founded the JR Foundation, which is focused on critical sectors such as Education, Healthcare, and even Animal Care, with the goal of uplifting and mainstreaming the marginalized.
